Health Care Assistant Training (3-Month Courses)

This training program intends to provide vocational skills to those young women and men who need to build capacity for their livelihood. We seek trainees specially from remote area where community people can't get easy access to health services and we expect our trainees will work in every sort of health setting from accident and emergency to working in remote and border areas. Also this is a career opportunity for dropped-out  Youth who have been passed middle level education (Grade 9) for their surviving. According to our research we found that nursing assistant  is one suitable jobs for those intended youth to get easy income with life guarantee.For instance, you can work your way up from being a health care assistant(which may not require any qualifications),and progress to apply for a place on a advance course, or you can begin your professional study after gaining your A levels.

Adult nurse assistant
Adult nurses work with old and young adults with diverse health conditions, both chronic and acute.They juggle numerous priorities and use caring,counseling,managing,teaching and all aspects of interpersonal skills to improve the quality of patients' lives,sometimes in difficult situations.Work may be based in hospital wards,clinics or, increasingly,community settings and you may do shift work to provide 24 - hour care.you will have close contact with patients and their families.As part of your training you'll learn how to assess,plan,implement and evaluate care for individual patients.To ensure consistency between nurses you need to record progress.You can be hospital based or work in the community(where more and more health care is being delivered).

Mental health nursing assistant

As many as one in three people has a mental health problem at some point in their life ,regardless of their age or background.Conditions range from personality and psychological disorders to neuroses and psychoses.Nurse who choose to  in the specialist in the mental health branch of nursing a complex and demanding area.To help care for patients with mental illnesses.Increasingly,care is given in the community ,with mental health nurses visiting patients and their families at home,in residential centers,or in specialist clinics or units. You may do shift work to provide 24-hour care.This is a valuable role that provides much reward and satisfaction.A mental health nurse may be part of a team working with people who may have been  excluded from services through drug or alcohol abuse.

Children's Nursing assistant
Nursing a child is not just question of caring for a miniature adult.You have to understand how a healthy child develops towards adult hood and  know how to minimize the impact of illness or hospital admission on the child.This involves working in partnership with the parents, or whoever looks after the child at home.Another factor that complicates treatment of the younger child is that of communication.While adults can express what they feel and need or identify the severity and nature of pain a child may not be able to communicate in such detail and the nurse needs to interpret behavior and reactions intelligently .Childcare's nurse need to be able to spot when a child's health takes a turn for the worse, which can happen rapidly.

Learning Disabilities Nurse Assistant
People with learning disabilities often have a wide range of physical and mental health conditions.Learning disability nurses work in partnership with them and family cares,to provide specialist health care.Their main aim is to support the well-being and social inclusion of people with a learning disability by improving or maintaining their physical and mental health:by reducing barriers: and supporting the person to pursue a fulfilling life.For example,teaching someone the skills to find work can be significant in helping them to lead a more independent,healthy life where they can relate to others on equal terms.Learning disabilities nursing assistant is provided in setting such as adult education,residential and community centers, as well as in patients homes, workplaces and schools .You could specialist in such areas as education ,sensory disability or the management of services.If you work in residential setting , you may do shifts to provide 24-hours care.

School Nurse Assistant
School nurse assistant are usually employed by a primary care trust ,Local health authority,community trust or by individual schools.They provide a variety of services such as providing health and sex education within schools,carrying our development screening ,undertaking health interviews and administering improvisation programs. It is possible to go straight into this role after qualifying as a school nurse assistant .Experience of working with children, in child protection or health promotion will be beneficial.Staff working as school nurse will usually work toward the specialist practitioner-school nursing/specialist assistant community public health nurse qualification at degree and maste4s level.

What are the special demands?

You will need presence of mind and flexibility to juggle and the needs of a number of individuals at the same time .Communication skills are fundamental to successful nursing.You must have personal skills to set people at their ease in pressurized and sometimes difficult circumstance.You will also have the tremendous satisfaction of knowing your contribution really counts in reducing suffering and prom9oting the health of the people in your care.


Skills Required
  • Sensitive human interaction is the major skill .
  • You will need to have great patience and highly developed flexible communication skills.
  • The job can be stressful and demanding so self-awareness helps.
  •  You will sometimes need to be assertive to ensure people with a learning disability do not surer discrimination.
  • You will be dealing with all age ranges.
  • You may find yourself working with individuals and communities from any background.
  • Y0u will need to be adaptable and resourceful, working in a variety of workplaces and without the recourse of a hospital at hand.
  •  You will need to be well organized, confident and able to cope in potentially challenging situations.
  • You will need to be able to work independently for most of your time ,although you will work as part of a team of other health care staff.

Eligibility

Training above courses in this level are suitable for those who never attended nurse aid training and / or have very little knowledge about the basic concepts of nurse and the pharmaceutical and the role of medical workers can play to lay basic foundation for nurse assistant and pharmaceutical in their respective communities.

  • Age should not younger than 16 years
  • Minimum middle school (Grade 9) passed education level
  • Should be understand basic English language and proficiency in Myanmar language

  • 4  passport size photos                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          Why do you require 4 PP size photos for application?                                                                                                                                                                                                  We We ask 4 photos for student ID card, Application record, course completion certificate and student record database.
  • NRC copy (or) residential recommendation letter from native town.                                                                                                                                                                                 We ask recommendation from their current living  township authority not to identify who hold citizenship or not but as a proof of resident credential.
  • Recommendation letter from represent organization (CBO/NGO) if apply for scholarship (50% and 100%) award.

Resource Person
Trainings will be conducted by development practitioners/trainers who have been actively involved in development programs/projects of Teaching agencies.All the training are conducted using participatory methods.Training materials are available both in Myanmar and English and all the trainings are facilitated in Myanmar.In addition to above mentioned Nurse assistant training program , Ar Yone Thit Health Care Training Center also offers English Language and Chinese Language skills training for participant students and other operations related trainings for operation staff(such as Counseling psychology, Child Law and etc:

After the training
Once you’ve successfully completed your certificate programm , you can apply for nursing assistant posts. With some experience, you can look to develop your career further, which may mean further study/studying (Inter-mediate Level). Healthcare is constantly developing, technology improving ,and the needs of the population changing .One qualified, it is necessary to keep yourself up to date which health care issues and practice. This will be required by the Ar Yone Thit, and encouraged by your employer.
